PHILADELPHIA –Eagles running back Saquon Barkley has been endearing himself to fans this season with his play in his first season with the team. On Thursday night, he did the same for a young fan at Lincoln Financial Field before the start of the game between the Eagles and the Washington Commanders.
In a video posted by NBC Sports Philadelphia’s John Clark, Barkley, while completing his warm-ups, noticed a young girl near the field wearing a black version of his jersey. Hoping to make her day, Barkley asked her to toss the jersey down so he could sign it.

The girl handed the jersey and a marker to a security guard, who then passed them to Barkley. As Barkley signed the jersey, the girl began to cry, overjoyed to see her favorite player doing this for her.
Barkley entered the game with 991 rushing yards, the second-highest total in the league, only behind Baltimore Ravens running back Derrick Henry, who has 1,120 yards. Barkley also has 21 catches for 158 yards and eight total touchdowns – six rushing and two receiving.
